Students

TPZ students are amazing!

Group of students stands outside TPZ Innovation CenterTPZ students are innovators, problem-solvers, team players, learners, and leaders. Here, they find their passions. Here, they build essential skills and mindsets.

Students are shaping their futures at TPZ, so that they can experience upward economic mobility in their chosen paths–whether that be through continued education and/or along specific career paths. We aim to serve up to 1,000 high school students from Boston annually in 2026—to help even more young people build valuable, resilient entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and networks that will serve them for life.

If you know a Boston high school student who may be interested, connect them with our Recruitment Team: recruiting@possiblezone.org

Who are our students?

The Possible Zone (TPZ) was created to foster upward economic mobility for youth who live in under-resourced communities within Boston. Students attend schools from across the city.

  • More than 95% are students of color, 54% are female.
  • The majority of TPZ students live in under-resourced communities; further, 68% live in what are considered the most at-risk or distressed neighborhoods in the City of Boston.
  • TPZ recruits proactively in BPS high schools based on both the percentage of economically disadvantaged students in the school and lower college matriculation rates than peer schools. More than 86% of TPZ students come from such schools.

What is required of students? Read the Program Expectations?

At TPZ, I began thinking differently about my future…and I wanted something bigger than what was expected of me.

I think throughout every program I have been in—Discover, Ideate, Incubate, all of those—I definitely think I wouldn’t have made progression in my business.
